The first time I saw The Real People was on Richard Littlejohn's show and I was totally blown away. Then they supported Ocean Colour Scene and played a rousing encore of Day Tripper with OCS and Liam Gallagher.
The best shows for me were at the Borderline in London. They seemed to play there nearly every Wednesday and Friday and every time the crowd got bigger. Cracking new songs were played like Pair Of Shoes, Love In The Bag and even treated to the classic Window Pane.
They used to a have a photo in the Borderline of past gigs. There was a cracking one of The Real People when OCS joined them onstage. If you were there then you know how amazing and underrated The Real People were live.

Sometime in '96 at the Aston Villa leisure Centre supporting OCS. You were fab and I was singing along to all your songs. We then saw you on Tuesday 26 November 1996 at The Birmingham Foundry.
How do I remember the precise date ? I still have the ticket! You guys are so talented! Its good to see you back! x

I've seen them 18 times (not that i'm counting). My first gig was at The Royal Court supporting Oasis and have since seen them in Liverpool, St Helens, Manchester and Buckley and even though i'm 36 i still keep ticket stubs and have several drumsticks and set lists, sad really eh....

The 1st time i saw the realies on stage was in 1990 in the North Park. Have been a massive fan ever since. Even my 1 year old now goes to sleep with Real People tunes on. Have seen them in the Royal court, the Lomax etc in Liverpool. I think they rock. Carry on makin great music lads.

Blimey the boys are back in town and a new album. Saw the realies 4 or 5 times live. The best being at the Garage in Islington about 1996. Think the boys where expecing a standoffish London crowd which can be the case sometimes. Not this night or crowd we were all up for a top night and the boys delivered a top gig, joking and interacting with the crowd and their tunes sounding great. I helped pour beer down thier necks while they played rock and roll or wot, and at the end of a storming set the boys were carried of stage to a whipped up crowd. Spoke to them afer as well all top boys.

I can remember seeing you guys several times in the late 80's at Marsh Lane Leisure centre in Bootle. Had some cracking nights listening to your music ... good to listen to your songs again after such a long time.
